Tweed has been a perennial fashion favourite, and the upcoming seasons appear to be no different with a number of stores offering a selection of heritage inspired items. Tweed is classy, timeless and elegant. The manly nature of the fabric construction, can easily be feminised with a slimmer fitting cut. 1. Occasionally co-ordinate your accessories i.e. bags, scarves etc., with a colour from your tweed jacket.
2. Pair your tweed with complimentary fabrics such as a silk top. This will help tone down the harshness of tweed fabric.
3. Remember that although tweed looks great with neutral colours, you can also add splashes of colour to your outfit, with perhaps a brightly coloured scarf, or handbag.
4. Wear neutral colours such as cream, beige, or khaki trousers, with traditionally coloured tweed jackets.
5. Wear denim with your tweed jacket for a more casual, relaxed style.
6. Pair the item with a somewhat outdoorsy looking pair of shoes, such as leather riding boots, brogues and moccasin's, particularly in shades of brown.
